Differentiation and Assessment

Content:
Goanimate allows for students to work independently on much smaller parcels of information. A single slide can involve only one major concept. By division, and then group collaboration, this paring down of content to meet the needs of individual students is possible

Process:
In Goanimate the input of slides is heavily geared towards both visual and kinesthetic learners. Characters are animated in single frame slides but those can be combined into cohesive productions of multiple frames. A student who has difficulty parceling words from oral presentations would now have the opportunity to narrate through action and visual modeling. There are traditional aspects to go animate for text intensive learners, speaking bubbles etc. to encourage participation.

Product:
Goanimate helps students present comprehensive content in an engaging and adaptive environment. Students who may have motor deficiencies (unable to hold or maneuver a writing utensil) can now produce production quality animation to convey content in class and to their peers. Goanimate also allows for a broader range of animation for content than would previously be possible through pen and paper comic strips or even classroom video. Here students who have difficulty expressing them-selves in written work or in oral presentation have a highly adaptive medium for expressing content in class. The ability to record ideas, edit, revise, and collaborate would aid students with a performance and social anxiety.
